The Wild Island Rumpus is in TEN DAYS!

Guys - today in Seattle, the sun (if you could see it behind all of these rain clouds) rose at 7:52am and set at 4:18pm.  That’s just a bit over 8 hours of precious day time.  God is a criminal.  No amount of vitamin D or light therapy can make up for that.

But there’s a true tropical sunlight at the end of this gloom tunnel.  Kauai had almost 2 more hours of daylight today than Seattle, and it’s a sunny 82 degrees!  And we’ll see you all there in just ten days.  My body is ready.  I hope you are preparing yours.

Our house has been a flurry of planning, packing and excitement.  We’re looking forward to a damn good time.

If you’ve been reading the blog, we don’t have a lot new for you.  But if you haven’t, we hope you click through some of the links below.  Don’t let fear of the unknown and a gloomy winter give you the blues - all will be clear if you just read.  Butterflies in the sky and all that.

We do ask two simple things.  First, if you haven’t gone to the logistics page, take a few minutes to peruse, subscribe to the calendar, follow the Wild Island Rumpus Instagram, etc.  We’re going to be wrangling a bunch of people on the island and we’re hoping you can help us by using some of those tools to self-serve the information you need.

Second, if you have kids: Check your mail.  We’ve sent the Adventure Squad members some important packages.  They also have a super secret website page - so secret that even I don’t have the password.  If the kids look through their packages, I bet they’ll find a way in.

For everything else, if you can’t be bothered to click around on the website, I’ve curated some helpful links below.  Feel free to email or text me if you have any lingering questions.
